What this demonstration does, and does not, claim

Included

Published project records across every jurisdiction

Each account preserves source-specific figures, editions, evidence status and original-source links. Where a publisher restates a project over time, the record shows the series without automatically calling the movement an overrun.

The national figures on the home page are AIHW context for the hospital system. They are never presented as a count of covered projects.

Not claimed

Not a national inventory or a cost leaderboard

This demonstration does not claim to cover all Australian hospital buildings, reconcile every capital program, rank projects by overruns or infer why a reported amount changed.

When an agency has not published a reason, the account says Reason not reported. When funding lines changed scope or accounting treatment, it says Not directly comparable.

Evidence paths

Official imports and document mining remain visibly distinct

Queensland and Victoria have tested machine-readable importers. Other jurisdictions currently rely mainly on cited extraction from budget papers, audits, planning reports and contract disclosures. Those facts are labelled machine-read until a person checks them.
